Application challenge

Power equipment needs durable seals and stable internal interfaces.

Power & Energy applicationPower & Energy

Photovoltaic and power equipment faces dust, moisture, temperature changes and maintenance cycles. Enclosure gaskets must maintain contact, while internal pads help limit movement and rubbing around mounted components.

BISCOTECH helps select foam and rubber grades, then converts them into die-cut pads, gaskets, adhesive-backed strips and laminated parts based on drawings and assembly requirements.

Typical applications

Sealing and cushioning interfaces in power & energy.

Photovoltaic Inverter CoversCompression gaskets around removable enclosure covers
Power Cabinet DoorsWeather-resistant perimeter seals for outdoor cabinets
Junction Box GasketsDie-cut frames for covers and cable-access interfaces

Converting and customization

Delivered in the format your production line needs.

BISCOTECH can select suitable material thicknesses and configure adhesive backing, laminated layers and converted geometry around your drawing and assembly requirements.

Application example

Example: a photovoltaic inverter cover gasket.

Requirement

An outdoor inverter enclosure may need a gasket that follows the cover geometry and maintains compression through temperature changes and servicing.

Proposed approach

Review the sealing gap, flange geometry, exposure conditions and adhesive surface, then compare suitable EPDM and silicone grades.

Sample validation

Check sample fit, compression and ingress protection on the assembled enclosure before confirming the material and die-cut format.

FAQ

Common questions about material selection.

How are materials selected for outdoor energy equipment?

EPDM is commonly considered for weather and ozone exposure, while silicone foam can support sealing across temperature changes. CR and PU can provide cushioning at suitable internal interfaces. Final selection depends on grade, compression, exposure and the enclosure sealing test.

Can you provide converted or die-cut parts?

Yes. We support die-cut gaskets and pads, slit rolls, adhesive backing and laminated foam or rubber constructions based on drawings and samples.

What information is needed for material selection and a quote?

Please share a drawing or sample, dimensions, compression gap and load, temperature range, exposure conditions, adhesive surface and estimated quantity. Include any target ingress protection or flame rating; material properties and assembled performance need validation for the chosen grade and design.
